Lament For What Will Never Be came about as a catharsis for dealing with the reality of things that have yet to manifest in my life. Accomplishments not yet realized that I truly believe are just on the horizon. Creating music is the best outlet for me to accomplish many goals that have eluded me over the years. Part of the tone of this guitar instrumental came about from the hopelessness of dreams not realized. There was a time in my life that I gave up part of my dreams for someone else and making sure they were taken care of. This is probably my deepest regret because it wasn’t worth putting my dreams on hold because of another.
If there is one piece of advice I can impart upon you it is this…never give up your dreams for someone else. If they cannot encourage you to pursue your dreams they aren’t worth your time. At the very least they should stay out of your way and not discourage you from your pursuits. You have an obligation to treat yourself as though you are someone worth helping, so go after your dreams, make them your reality, surround yourself with those who encourage you to create that reality for yourself. I hope you enjoy!!!
