ii-V-I and Then Some

ii-V-I and Then Some

The title ii-V-I and Then Some refers to the primary chord progression in this song. The ii-V-I chord progression is a commonly found throughout Jazz. The “Then Some” referenced in the title is a nod to the secondary progression in this song, and is a I-IV-V chord progression. This type of progression is common in Blues and is often referred to as a blues riff. It was my goal in this song to give my take on both the common Jazz and Blues structure and combine them to see what interesting patterns emerged while creating leads. I hope you enjoy!!!
